The Roland Dyens International Competition is a unique opportunity to launch your career!

What if you were the Classical Guitar Revelation of the Roland Dyens 2025 international competition? Every year since 2016, the Roland Dyens in the skaï association, ‘Guitare Classique’ magazine and the Paris Guitar Festival have been discovering exceptional talents who are making their mark on the world of classical guitar.

Follow in the footsteps of Antoine Boyer, Johan Smith, Cassie Martin, Fu Ping Ryu, Laura Rouy, Edith Pageaud and Sotiris Athanasiou and become the Classical Guitar Revelation 2025! These artists were all chosen by Guitare Classique magazine at the Roland Dyens international competition.

The 2025 edition of the Roland Dyens Competition may just give you the chance to join the ranks of the Classical Guitar Revelations and, like them, launch an international career! Selected by a jury of leading figures in the classical guitar world, the three finalists will take to the stage at the Paris Guitar Festival on March 7, 2025.

Terms and conditions of participation

• Post a link to a video presentation followed by a maximum of 15 minutes of uncut music.
• Introduce yourself to the jury in a few sentences at the beginning of the video
• Pay particular attention to the technical quality of your video (good lighting, appropriate framing, optimum sound quality)
• The video will remain confidential and will not be broadcast or published, with the exception of the finalists
• Include a piece composed or arranged by Roland Dyens (discover his complete repertoire on rolanddyensintheskai.fr)
• No age or nationality requirements
• Participation is free of charge

Process

• Selection of three finalists by a professional jury from the magazine
• Public final on March 7, 2025 during Classical Guitar Night
• Programme of no more than 15 minutes, including a piece by Roland Dyens
• After the finalists’ performances, a jury of experts from the music world (magazine, concert performers, labels, publishing) will select the winner of the competition.
• The winner will be announced in public at the end of the jury’s deliberations.
• Travel and accommodation expenses paid by finalists

1. Classical Guitar Revelation 2025 Trophy
2. A three-page interview in the magazine
3. A filmed masterclass featured in an issue of the magazine
4. A performance at the 2025 Roland Dyens in the skaï Festival (October 2025)
5. A performance at the Paris International Guitar Festival with Tania Chagnot (November 2025)*
6. A performance at the 32nd Guitar and Heritage Encounters in the Ardennes (from June 29 to July 12, 2025)*
7. A performance at the 2026 Edition of the Paris Guitar Festival

* Candidates are free to decline the proposed concerts if their diary constraints and place of residence so require, bearing in mind that travel costs from their place of residence are at their own expense.
